Oct 01, 2009: The Stork project has an opening for a full time "Software Developer / IT Consultant" position. The successful candidate will be responsible of the development and implementation of the core Stork Data Scheduler functionalities; testing, validating, and releasing software; porting it to different architectures; and providing technical support to users. Sep 01, 2009: The National Science Foundation (NSF) supports the development of the Stork Data Scheduler via a new half-million dollar grant through its Strategic Technologies for Cyberinfrastructure (STCI) program. The grant will provide three years of funding for the enhancement of the Stork Data Scheduler, making it production-level software and distributing it to the community as free, open-source software. Dec 03, 2008: The first full standalone release of Stork data scheduler "Stork 1.0" with an extended list of features is now available. The new features include support for checkpointing, checksum computation, filesize comparison, wildcards in URLs, recursive directory transfers and connection caching. You can download Stork 1.0 here.
